Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Issued for Kansas City Metro Area Thursday Night



TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Public Weather conditions Administration (NWS) gave serious tempest alerts for a few upper east Kansas districts.

The extreme rainstorm alerts in Upper east Kansas have terminated.

At 9:32 p.m., extreme tempest alerts have been given for Anderson, Jefferson and Shawnee provinces until 10 p.m.

The serious tempest admonitions for Jefferson and Shawnee districts have terminated.

At 8:09 p.m. serious tempest alerts have been given for Douglas, Jefferson and Shawnee areas by the NWS. These admonitions are active until 8:45 p.m.

At 8 p.m. the extreme rainstorm alerts for Jackson, Jefferson and Shawnee regions have terminated.

At 7:35 p.m., the NWS gave extreme rainstorm alerts for Jackson, Jefferson and Shawnee regions until 8 p.m. These alerts accompany the chance of 70 miles each hour wind and .75 inch hail.

At 7:12 p.m., the NWS gave serious tempest alerts for Northwestern Jefferson, Northwestern Shawnee, Focal Wabaunsee, Southeastern Pottawatomie and Jackson Areas. These admonitions are active until 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.

Soon after 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, the NWS gave extreme rainstorm alerts for Pottawatomie and Wabaunsee regions. These admonitions accompany the chance of 60 mile each hour wind and 1 inch hail.

The admonitions are active until 7:15 p.m.

The Kansas City metropolitan region is under a serious tempest cautioning for Thursday night, as per the Public Weather conditions Administration.
